Breathe
No words exist with enough power to recite what this love for you has done.
How absurdly connected, as if lifetimes together have already prepared us to be blown away,
yet refuse to spell it out enough to assist us on this journey.
Such love that the word itself, simply put,
doesn’t even come close to representing fully.
Our collision has shaken the very fabric of who I thought I was.
As a man now seeing myself almost for the first time.
My roots being uprooted and treated with a compassion that eases me
into complete acceptance of every facet of me.
This man has no fear,
sprinting my way into our future
I'm painting this moments imperfections into the present
as it grows from the last ditch efforts it took to find you.
Such a simple transition
when love penetrates my soul
demanding I acknowledge the flaws in my own ways
instead facing life head on and stretching the boundaries
I’m spreading my wings
no longer try as I once did
I plant the seeds yet to be sewn
blowing the minds of those around us that choose to accept our magic
seek enlightenment through subtle shifts in their own perspectives
ever evolving our own.
If they didn’t see us coming
let them not forget that we were here,
know they can’t forget the vibration
we breathe into their energy.
Kinda scary how simple it all can be
when we realize that the difficulty
was but perception derived by expectations
put in place to keep us down.
What joy has been found up here in the clouds.
The silence between the sounds
holding magic moments that are limitless.
Thank you for being you
most of all, your willingness to fully witness
what it is to be alive by my side.
Full of hope and disbelief
I will strive to be the very best version of me,
blessed to have this chance to embark on this remarkable dance
with an incredibly beautiful soul such as you.
As I said, let us redefine love
better yet let’s make up a new word
that embodies thus space fully
