“sorry” he said, as if he was actually “sorry”
as if a word could fit in every ounce of pity he would need to get me to forgive him, as if he would be forgiven so soon. “sorry” as in im sorry for destroying our friendship and then our relationship, as in im sorry for breaking your trust and your heart, as in im sorry for giving you insecurities and trust issues.
as in im sorry for making you believe i was serious about us and it wasn’t just to get back at someone, it wasnt any of that, it was just “sorry”

About this poem

i’ve written a lot of poems about my last relationship and it really helped me get through it. i sometimes think im over it but when i think about it i just write a poem like this one:)
