gods family is cursed
i’m afraid that it’s true
he sent his only son
to see his plan through

jesus cried in the garden
‘my sorrow is death’
he pleaded with his father
then he took his last breath

he asked that abraham
do the same to his son
isaac had the same fate
but was spared by the one

the trinity is real
that’s what they say
but did god feel the pain
or the price that was paid

when god was on the cross
did he think of his father
did the wood smell like home
was it even a bother

he’ll leave the ninety nine
to search for the one
then he’ll save the world
at the hands of his son
