Manipulation in the state of fear

Manipulation in a state of fear.

In the realm of shadows, a tale I shall weave, Of people cunning, who deceive to achieve. They wear masks of charm, their intentions concealed,
Using others as pawns, their own desires revealed.

They dance in the daylight, pretending to care,
But their hearts are dark, consumed by a snare.
Like marionettes they maneuver and control, Strings of manipulation, hidden in their role.

They exploit the trust, the innocent souls, Their hearts cold as ice, as their ego unfolds. With sweet words and false promises they entice,
But behind the facade, their motives arise.

They befriend the lonely, seeking solace and gain,
Forcing compassion, igniting false flames. But once the purpose is served, they withdraw,
Leaving shattered hearts, wounded and raw.

Yet when confronted, they deny the vile game,
With practiced deceit, they shift all the blame.
Their denials are like whispers carried by the wind,
But the truth lingers on, a fire that won't rescind.

Oh, the tragedy of those used, betrayed and dismissed,
By those who exploit, leaving scars that persist.
But fear not, for in darkness, light shall emerge,
Exposing their facade, with no voice to be heard.

So beware, dear souls, the manipulators sly, Shield your heart, discern the truth from the lie.
For in this world of shadows and deceit,
The power of honesty and empathy shall defeat.
