Plagued poetry

Aurora Jade 2007 (Prince George VA)

In the depths of my mind, where thoughts stumble,Words falter and fumble, causing me to crumble. My tangled thoughts, hidden behind a mask,Plagued poetry becomes my solace, a daunting task.

Within this refuge of verses, I find release,A sanctuary for my thoughts, where they find peace. My ever-cracking smile, a fragile facade,Through plagued poetry, the truth I must braid.

These words, my shield, my disguise, my shroud,Concealing the struggle, the pain that’s avowed. They dance in secrecy, a silent display,Bearing my soul in this poetic ballet.

With ink as my ally, I paint my emotions,In fragmented lines, revealing my devotions.Through the cracks in my mask, the words seep,Unveiling my truth, secrets I cannot keep.

No judgment here, just the freedom to express,In this realm of words, where I undress. So I’ll pour out my heart, my thoughts unconfined,Through plagued poetry, so you never have to read between the lines.
