unseen

ami smith 2007 (Bedford)

In the depths of a fractured mind, a world unfolds,
Where shadows dance and stories remain untold.
A kaleidoscope of thoughts, swirling in disarray,
A labyrinth of emotions, leading astray.
A fragmented reality, a puzzle to decipher,
Where whispers echo, voices grow louder.
A symphony of chaos, playing in the soul,
A battle fought silently, taking its toll.
In the depths of this mind, a constant struggle resides,
Between what is real and what the mind decides.
A dance of masks, a delicate charade,
A fragile equilibrium, teetering on the blade.
Visions and hallucinations, painting vivid scenes,
A canvas of illusions, where nothing is as it seems.
Faces morph and shift, like a mirage in the haze,
A distorted perception, a bewildering maze.
The mind's eye sees worlds within worlds,
A universe of possibilities, unfurled.
Parallel dimensions, colliding in space,
A shattered reflection, a fragmented embrace.
Yet amidst the chaos, a flicker of light,
A glimpse of hope, pushing through the night.
A resilient spirit, fighting to be free,
To find clarity and peace, to truly see.
For in this intricate tapestry of the mind,
Lies strength and resilience, intertwined.
A testament to the human spirit's might,
To navigate the darkness and emerge into light.
So let us not judge, but seek to understand,
The complexities of a mind, held in its own command.
For in the depths of this struggle, a story unfolds,
Of resilience, courage, and a heart that still holds.
In the silent battles fought, unseen by the eye,
We find compassion, empathy, and the power to defy.
And though the road may be long, the journey rough,
We stand united, embracing the strength within us.
So let us not define, but embrace the unseen,
For the mind's intricate workings are vast and serene.
