The hand of a keen mind

Kevin Schulz 2023 (Porta Westfalica)

All I need is a hand to hold on to.
All I need is a hand holding me tight, a grip, even if it's out of the blue.
All I need is a hand to cover and deflect my mistakes even when they later turn out to be true.
All I need is a hand to bring in the verdict although I know I was never meant to be judged, let alone get sued.

Driving through late nights, feels like we're driving away but so far it's only been a mile.
Boy, I'm gonna make it worth it your while,
wanna kiss you on your tinted glasses right in front of your eyes as they submerge in a reminiscent smile.
Even though I know your glasses are tinted
mercedes-black their colors look so versatile.
Boy, we're getting on from one to the other side, our love's crossing a stile.
Now all we need to do is forsake the mourning city's lights we have left behind with all their beguile.

All I need is a hand to lead me to the lake near the pine trees shining so bright though the night.
All I need is for my eyes to pierce through the sky as I hold the hand of a man with a keen mind, the sheer delight.
