On a day it’s storming hard

On the days that your upset and want to cry

On a day where the sunshine is shining bright
Beautiful you are
And today I must say

About this poem

I wrote this poem on the behalf of my Aunt Gwen. She passed away earlier this week and depression won her over so this poem is for anyone suffering from depression.

I’m 29 years old. I’m from Raleigh North Carolina. I’ve suffered from depression myself and I refuse to let it take over my life and my mind. Now that I wrote this poem I’ll read everyday as a reminder that I’m beautiful and I’m here for a reason. It was just something that came to mind so I wrote. more…
