Don’t Tell Me You Love Me, Show Me

Don’t Tell Me You Love Me, Show Me
By Robert T. Davenport

Don't speak of love in empty words,
For they are but whispers in the wind.
Don't tell me of affection, my dear,
For actions are the language of the heart.

Show me your love in the gentle touch,
That lingers on my skin like a soft caress.
Show me your love in the tender gaze,
That speaks volumes without uttering a word.

Don't tell me of devotion, my love,
For promises can be broken and forgotten.
Don't speak of loyalty, my darling,
For actions are the foundation of trust.

Show me your love in the sacrifices made,
When you put my needs before your own.
Show me your love in the support given,
When you stand by my side through thick and thin.

Don't tell me of passion, my sweet,
For words can be deceiving and fleeting.
Don't speak of desire, my beloved,
For actions are the flames that ignite the soul.

Show me your love in the fiery embrace,
That consumes us both in a passionate dance.
Show me your love in the longing kisses,
That leave me breathless, yearning for more.

Don't tell me you love me, my dear,
For words alone hold no weight or meaning.
Show me your love, my darling,
Through actions that speak louder than any phrase.

For love is not a mere declaration,
But a symphony of gestures, big and small.
So don't tell me you love me, my love,
Show me, and let your actions say it all.
