Ghosts Are Guilt

Ghosts are guilt.
Ghosts are sunny days
Spent under the summer sun
And giggles that taste of salt.

Ghosts are guilt
"I left you because
I wanted to save myself."
and ghosts are hope.
"I prayed one day I would
see you again."

They are promises
"God, where are you?"
and regrets.
"I didn't even cry.
I couldn’t believe
you were gone."

Ghosts are anger
"F*ck, I didn't mean to-
What's happening to me..."
and lies.
"I love you,
don't I?"

Ghosts are a lot of things.
"I wish I got decide
which kind I am."
