Humbled
By Robert T. Davenport
Yes, I've humbled myself, a path less traveled,
Where the depths of my soul have been unraveled.
In a world where ego reigns supreme,
I chose to embrace humility, like a dream.
Most people wouldn't understand the strength it takes,
To let go of pride and all its stakes.
But in this surrender, I found a new light,
A beacon of hope, shining ever so bright.
For in humility, I discovered true grace,
A gentle power that cannot be erased.
It's in the quiet moments, when I let go,
That my spirit soars, and my heart starts to glow.
I've learned to see beauty in the simplest of things,
To appreciate the joy that each moment brings.
In the face of adversity, I stand tall,
For humility has taught me to rise above all.
It's not about being small or weak,
But about finding strength when life seems bleak.
To acknowledge my flaws and embrace imperfection,
Is to find true freedom, a divine connection.
Yes, I've humbled myself, and it's been a journey,
One that has transformed me, made me worthy.
For in the depths of humility's embrace,
I've found the power to heal and find solace.
So, let them judge and not understand,
For in my humility, I've found love's hand.
I walk this path with a heart full of grace,
Knowing that true strength lies in this sacred space.
