I love you dearly.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

I love you dearly.

The sun rises and sets. But still, that makes me upset. You hurt me, and I tried to forget. But in my mind, I still have no regrets. I still love you dearly and always will. I will just stay home and take my pills. Maybe that would give me a thrill? But I wake up the next day and get the chills. Then my tea is still on the floor. Will I ever see you anymore? It makes me very sore. So I go to the seashore, and I can see your ship way offshore. I know it will never come in. So I will sit here, drink my bottle of gin, and just grin.

About this poem

One last poem I had for a couple of years. I think I was still drinking then.
