The Pure Embrace of Solace

More than a decade ago,
On a warm Sunny day,
We confronted each other,
For the first time,
I realised suddenly that,
My past,present and future,
Had converged irrevocably,
To this one moment in time.

I had found the ONE,
Meant to bring forth,
Meaning Into my life,
Our gazes locked,
Sparks of gold flew,
Nothing would be the same again,
Without each others company,
Each second apart an eternity.

We patiently waited,
For the day of our union,
And Lo! finally it arrived,
Before Friends and family,
The wedding bells rang,
We made our promises,
Before God the Almighty,
And began our journey.

Now more than a decade later,
It is still like yesterday,
That we feel everything happened,
Time and age,
Have not diminished the relation,
Filled with love and affection,
Sure there are occasionally,
The odd anomalies in a relation,
But mostly we find in each other,
The Pure Embrace of Solace.

This is of a story well-told about found love. The diction is clear and the reading entertaining without losing its seriousness of a love that still is felt the same though it has been a while since that magical encounter.
    Good read1
