Noble Vigilante

Sarah Brower 1995 (New Jersey)

Oh noble vigilante
how admired you are
inspiring with utmost respect

Ha!

I laugh inside sir
they see you outside in
for I see you inside out

I cry inside oh vigilante
I die inside your vaulted secret
they see you through crystal lends

My pupils no longer dilated
they no longer shine with dew
for truth has dried them up

Your feet caressed in virgin kisses
leaving the softest breadcrumbs
delicious to the tongue of babes

Well vigilante
my tongue has been numb
from the poison of falsehoods
foaming at the mouth my breath departs

I love to express myself through poetry. I can’t force inspiration so I only write when I feel moved. Authenticity is important to me!! If I can make anyone feel heard and understood, Then my goal is accomplished. more…

I just wanted to comment here because, reading this and some of your others, it's just undeniable that you have an intriguing poetic style....it is an inviting breath that sweeps you along your peaks and pitfalls for a spell...l, for one, want to compliment you because it seems there is such deliberate intent behind your words that you clearly choose them carefully.
