When Life Was So Much Easier

Edwin Tanguma 1966 (CA)

It took much more than wild horses
To keep me from hearing you sing
Let me know if you'd like to hear
All about those unpleasant things
I'll paint a picture just for you
So that you may know of my life
At this time I'm at a crossroad
Uncertain of which road to take
I know that if I choose wrongly
It could be my life's worst mistake
If you ask me for that painting
I will get to work right away
And paint it with all those colors
That you like very much too see
Like those we've painted together
When life was so much easier

About this poem

Well my dearest Heather…This one is also from the dark years…I hope this may answer some of your questions….I let narci get the best of me…And look where it got me…It is rather ironic that I am standing at a crossroad once again…i didn’t search this poem out…It was the next card on top of the deck…Go figure…I believe I just posted this last night on another site…And I listened to a certain Rolling Stone song…I hadn’t a clue that it seems as if by telepathy you seem to have had the same song on you mind…And you sing it so well… https://m. youtube.com/watch?v=dMs7l-hHoOg&pp=ygULcnVuMnUgamV3ZWw%3D
