Reasons...

Robert Catron 1963 (Kansas)

We go thru our lives-living like we're all that mattered,
Never looking back at the people whose feelings we shattered.
We take love for granted like they'll always be there,
They leave us behind-and we ask-don't you care?
We'll take everything they give us without a doubt,
But when it comes to giving back-we leave them without?
We never realize what we've got until they're gone away,
We just play the games that people play.
Sometimes we give our heart & souls-and they never see,
Leaving us hurt and wondering-how can this be?
Love can make you blind-I've found that's true,
They should make glasses to help us see right thru.
Why is it that beautiful people are only skin deep,
Get to know them and find someone you don't even want to keep?
I wonder why looks are so important to love anyway,
All looks fade away and leave us all wishing for yesterday?
Why can't we fall in love from the inside to the out,
Then we'd truly find out-what real love is really all about.
