Soul Crying Foul

I'll admit to my missing a fair few boats up the coast, their true harm alarms ringing.
To burning bridges and digging deep trenches to bury future friendships.

Cause I was busy getting high on a lie, clinging to false opes Purdue pharma was slinging sly at doe eye dopes like me for endless riches.

And I know a reason's no excuse,
But we're reverse sick from all the abuse
and greed-cursed cures causing the worst and wicked,
Sure as Sin from Within
Human Sickness.

And yeah granddad, true, we should all be caught up by now,
If I had me a mule or a couple acres to plow
Or if we lived in the future your children wouldn't allow.
But the boats are all jet powered now and leave the dock with surprising quickness.

And worldwide the shores & waters polluted with that same rising black thickness

So consider what conditions
and soul sucking bare subsistence
would cause us all abandon
your traditions,
And our ambitions,
And all sense of pure conviction.

We pick up our boot straps from the Marianas Trenches
To bridle the tide to the end of existence.
