Shattered fantasy

The day I have been anticipating is finally here
The room was filled with petals and roses
The fragrance in the room was so romantic and filled
He turned my imagination into a reality
But sleep disrupted those moments as we both lay on the bed
The wedding night fantasy was a myth

The next day, we took on our helmet and breastplate
Like one who's prepared for war
We had sternly romantically prepared
And he was ready to shoot any locked doors
But what's really happening
I was in charge of those doors
In as much as I wanted him
There was no gain entry for him
I wasn't breathing
But what could be wrong
My first experience wasn't what I fantasized

Several attempts were made
The hospitals and their surgery
Months passed and with the frequency of pain.
I don't want his smile, hug, or anything related to it It was hard to cater for ourselves, our emotions. What then is it?

I searched through and discovered
It was Vaginismus- A fearful penetration
I was dealing with a psychological problem
Which took sex as a bad and painful thing
But must still be fulfilled as a duty

Met a counselor and gynecologist
Who put us through some therapy
And for the first time, we sailed through
And Lo, the experience became my fantasy
