My Favorite Dream

Imagine a land of teal and pink,
Throw a rock on land and watch it sink;
Thrashing purple and swirling blue,
Covered with a bright navy hue;
Tall hills of water and grass as waves,
A hidden world in a calming cave;
Royal blue peppers hanging from palm trees,
A place to read and relax with ease;
The world to escape to when I fall asleep,
A getaway after counting sheep;
A dream still fresh and still known,
A place I find with memories of home;
The sounds of a waterfall and the calming rain,
It’s song is beautiful and so mundane.

About this poem

I had a dream and it never truly left me. After a year it’s still fresh in my mind. Finally, I decided to write it down as this poem.
