Hot Apple Cider

Mom had put the decorations up
And now I am ready to have a cup…
Of hot apple cider
From the fire
Now the leaves are turning colors…
As they fall to the feet of their mothers
When the wind blows…
It just slightly nips your nose
But bundled up by the fire and just a little tired…
It is a time to sleep
At this time, one is at peace

About this poem

Inspired by my mothers love for fall and the poem I read in Core Grammer class called: To Autumn by John Keats.
