Emotions

Ashley Anaya 1994 (buffalo, New York)

Bruised, broken, in pain
Life crumbling, mind raising
Can’t catch my breath
Life fading, emotions changing
Lost with no path
Screaming but everyone around me is deaf
Bruised, broken, trying to survive
Barely Holding head above water
Tears free flowing
Life changing, emotions stirring
Looking for a way out
But won’t take it
Bruised, broken and living
Pushing through life
Disguising the pain with smiles and laughs
Living life like I’m whole not halves
Anxiety, Depression, PTSD
Crippling me
Fight, break through, breathe
Managing to see light in the darkness
Persevering, standing tall
Life will not beat me
Break me, drown me
Strong, mending, Survivor
This life is mine
