CURLING TONGS

When I was a little girl,
I LONGED to have my hair in curl.
Back in the day my Mum would say
'Twas God that made your hair that way."
But I was really not content,
I wanted hair that she said was BENT!
One day a party came HURRAY!
At laser a chance to have my way.
She'd heat the metal curling tong
Then tested on paper 'til the marks were gone.
I felt the heat, she'd twist and turn
The scalding irons so they'd not burn.
A mass of frizzy I would caress,
I likely looked a real mess
But frankly cared not at all
For in my mind I was BELLE OF THE BALL!

I have been an artist and designer for many years and had a mail order producing many character designs on a range of products ranging from mugs , tea towels sweatshirts pyjamas for kids featuring one of my most popular design the Frog! Princess Diana was one of my best customers when she was alive and I was lucky enough to have newspaper articles of herself and William and Harry wearing the sweatshirts. Poetry came to me so I have written many others along with 4 children's books one of which is about her life with illustrations on Amazon which has been with them for a few years. more…
