Too Tremendous To Ignore

There is just too much ridiculousness,
It seems today on everyone's top ten list.
And valued to prioritize.
The marketing of its variety.

As I writer,
I will admit...
There was a time I could not find,
Anything of interest.
Found that stayed to occupy my mind.
But these days?
Turning my back away,
From the overwhelming craze displayed.
Free with no fee to pay?
Without using my imagination too?
And as a writer what other writer,
Would sit and let opportunities like this...
Pass them by.
Even if they tried how could they?

This stuff everyday gets more crazed.
And much of it is childish tit for tat.
Exaggerated to be more than that.
Sometimes laughable.
And other times too seriously taken.
To allow it to escalate.
Until guns are pulled.
Resulting in police chasing wannabee thugs,
Through crowded city streets.

Too tremendous to ignore,
The reality and truth of it.
Many refuse to believe these days exist.
And so much of it can overwhelm one's mind.
If the time they can not find,
To put their imagination...
On temporary hiatus.
Saving themselves from a mental breakdown!
