Magazine
Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)
I used to cut out pictures in magazines and papers
Of all I ever wanted without care for the labors
Write lists that seemed to never end
Of ornamental dolls and teddy bear friends
Of clothes and foods for Christmas dinner
Of beautiful faces and people getting thinner
I used to love magazines
Now I'm realizing
How it feels
To have a shorter list
And all the things I'm glad I missed
