Christmas Doubt

On Christmas Eve a farmer said,
"I don't believe Christ came
To Earth, then put into a "bed"
To later end our shame.

He then refused to go with his
Dear wife which made her sad,
Although his reason always is
The same with doubt he had.

He later noticed birds make noise
Not finding warmth outside
And so, he offered them a choice
A place where no one died.

They would not go and so he thought
He'd shoo the birds to go
Inside his barn but all he got
Was fear from then and so

He slowly realized that they
Would never understand
How much he hoped to show the way
To life as God had planned.

He thought if he could be a bird
Then they would see his goal,
But bird talk never once was heard.
The giant failed his role.

Just then he heard the bells ring loud
As church was through that night.
He thought of Jesus and then bowed;
His heart with God was right!
