Which Side of the Coin

This world is full of confusion.
No wonder humanity is losing.

People claw their way to the top.
Is money all there is to be got?

Preying on the weakness of another.
Humanity may never recover.

Blinded by envy and greed.
Now fear has taken the lead.

All these shiny new things.
Nothing is for free.

Living on the streets taught me 2 things;
Some people are nice and some are mean.
Then there are those who are in between.

In this life you choose who to be.
Win the lottery. Donate to charity?

Which side of the coin is appealing?
Where do you choose to do your dealings?

Think about how you live your life.
Are you on the sidelines living on standby?

I look around and I see
A world of chaos and beauty.

As the world keeps spinning,
It seems the only ones winning,

Are those who remember
That each moment should be treasured.
