Frolicking With Dick & Jane & Sally Part 1 Mondayby Joe Hix
Dick & Jane went Out to Play After School The other Day, Then We Saw Sally Come , Kindergarten was Such Fun, It Was Just Letting Out & Then Sally Began to Shout! Her Building Blocks Had Fallen Today, Tumbling Down & Going Astray. The House That She had Built Today, Was Green & White With Bay Windows Looking Out! Where Did Sally Run & Hide, Hide & Seek & You Will Find. It Did not Take Us Long ‘cause Spot & Puff Led Us Along, Behind The Rosebush She Would be Laughing so Joyfully.
Jane Was So Cute in Her Little Green Dress With Her Blond Hair Blowing , What a Mess. Jane Had Made Something Too. A Little Red Cutout Just For You. When You Folded it Out, It Made Us Laugh & Start to Shout , A Line of Dancers only 3 ! Lined Up For You & Me. Summer Had Gone & The Autumn Winds Came, Leaves Falling From the Trees of Many Colors Too ! Soon The Snow Would Come & Be Blistery Cold & We Would Built a Snowman Too. What a Gay Time we will have , With our Sleigh Sliding Down Going Round & Round. Burr, Burr.... its Cold Today.
Dick Decked out in a T-Shirt Too & Shorts of Red & Blue & Brown Shoes Too. Soon He’d be Wearing His OverCoat & Maybe his Mittens & Earmuffs Too. He Had Scuffed His knee Playing Ball & Had A Bruise From a Tumble or a Fall.
Tuesday
Then They Said What Could We Do Today ?, & Had A Wonderful Thought or Two. Along Came Sally with Little Puff in Tow Riding in Her Bright Red Wagon . Then came Spot who Ran real Fast & Fetched the Ball in The Air, Spinning Round Without a Care . We Said OH ,OH, OH, SEE,SEE,SEE , He’s as merry as can Be !
Wednesday
They Loved Their Teacher Who Was Pretty Sight, Lovely Hair & Tall & Slight, so They gave Her an Apple Shiny & Bright. She sat it On Her Desk & Then She Said. What Did You Learn in School Today ??; Our ABC’s & How to Mold Clay, Learning Manners That We Used Today, And Making Friendships Along the Way.
