Secrets We Keep

Rebecca Smith 1955 (Gardena)

Do you know what I see when my eyes meet your eyes?       I see love and comfort in powder blue skies.                                                I see a rainbow I long to touch but the sun seems to hide you from my doing such.                                                                          My body is warmed by your tender embrace, the feeling of love seems to show on your face.                                                           Whenever I need you and this feeling of love, I reach for the rainbow you painted above.                                                                             I dream of the day when together we will be, alone forever with no company. The stars up above hide the secrets we keep as you lay still beside me so softly asleep. no one around us must ever know, the love we must hide and never show.
