Forgiveness

Forgiveness in you
Forgiveness in me
Forgiveness to do
Forgiveness to see

Forgiveness can change
Forgiveness can free
Forgiveness stops hurt
Forgiveness can be

Forgiveness can change
Forgiveness can be
Forgiveness can hurt
Forgiveness helps see

Forgiveness is control
Forgiveness can gain
Forgiveness can cause
Forgiveness stops pain

Forgiveness can give
Forgiveness can change
Forgiveness gives light
Forgiveness free's pain

If you choose the light
This change will be
Something that may
Let your heart be free

Then walk to your light
Choose to be you
Choose how you act
Choose what you do

If you choose a change
Let negativity fade
Let positivity in
No longer be afraid

If you decide to not
Then what is the gain
What is the benefit
Surely just pain

Once you decide
Then you are able to
See that forgiveness can
Make a change in you

Which is taking control
Control of your heart
Control of your life
Look forward and start

You can only control
The behaviour in you
The control of emotion
The acts that you do

I know this is hard
Especially to those who
Caused you most pain
Which took part of you

But the alternative is
To live each day
Tormented by hurt
To lose your way

It takes your energy
Live in hurt and pain
So why not change
Why not achieve gain
