The heart second chance
I was hurt, so many times before
My heart was shattered, and my spirit sore
I thought that love, was just a game
A cycle of pain, that never changed
But then you came, and something sparked
A light in my heart, that had been dark
You showed me love, in a different way
A love that didn't hurt, a love that stayed
At first, I was scared, and didn't know
If I could trust you, if I could let go
Of all the hurt, and all the pain
But slowly, I opened up again
You were patient, and kind, and true
You showed me a love, that was honest and new
You held my hand, and never let go
You gave me a love, that helped me grow
Now I see, that love can be kind
That love can heal, and love can bind
A heart that's been broken, and torn apart
Can be mended, with a new love's start
So thank you, for being the one
Who showed me that love, could be fun
And though I was hurt, so many times before
I'm grateful, that now, I can love once more.
