SOCCER MOM

Her name is Hanna, I don't think you really know her
She's not a special, unique creature in this world
Her day is rather typical believe her...
Nothing more...

She wakes up early in the morning to make breakfast
Dresses the kids to go immediately to school
She goes downstairs and waits 3 hours for the school bus
And then upstairs to wake up sweetly the Big Zeus

She runs like wind to make his favorite light breakfast
Three eggs, three bacon, some fresh juice and one French toast
And help her God if she's not able to run that fast
After all...

So when they leave she eats, she bathes, she makes those beds
Everyone left for her and seems like there's a bomb
She puts her high heels on and runs across the hall there
Only to stumble from her hurry and to fall

She goes to work sweaty, plus hungry, more like craving
And sits immediately on her desk to do her task
But there's an ##$$$$ also working there each morning
Trying so hard to find her solo and grab her #ss!

She tries to put her thoughts together and starts doing
All pending things which should already have been closed
"WHERE IS THAT COFFEE" hears a loud scream felt like bullying,
Oh, that's her BOSS!!!

The phone is ringing like a demon she cannot bear
There is a second ##$$$$ seeking for her help
She has to finish things that have already been there
Only to do this rude and lazy guy’s request

And when her watch shows that her work is finally over
She runs away as far as possible, and then,
She goes immediately at home under the cover
To get some rest...

But when she gets inside the kids are waiting hungry
So she must cook for them and feed them something new
And when they finish and they leave the kitchen nasty
They say "the food we're sorry mom it wasn't good"!

Although she's bloody sleepy, tired, and almost kneeling,
She has to drive them to their Spanish lesson, too
Only to come back home when sun is no more shinning
And pray to hear a word extinct "I love you, too"!!!

Big Zeus is coming from his work with nerves and starving
So she is ready for the third big round of work
She puts the plates the forks and knives together mumbling
And pray to listen that the food was somehow worth

He says "I'm tired it's time for me to do some sleeping,
So kids be quiet for daddy needs some time alone"
And oops the referee pops out of her so freely
And yells to kids "shh…daddy went inside to snore"

So when the night, at last, is finally approaching
And it is now her holly and own time to relax
The Big Zeus suddenly awakes brand new from snoring
With a desire to sit by her and grab her #ss!

And though she tells him "Sorry love, but no more nudie
Cause there's no courage left today for me at all",
He says "I'm sorry that's your ONE marital duty...
After all"....

Her name is Hanna, I don't think you really know her
She's not a special, unique creature in this world
She's just a robot fixed to make everyone happy
After all...

About this poem

I had the urge to write in my own humorous way the everyday busy and demanding life of a woman/wife/mother, deprived of recognition.

MARIANNA GIANNOPAPA

I live in Greece and I am a new author. I have two daughters and I love horse riding. I have written my first poetry collection of 23 poems in total, and I love all of them equally. All my poems depict reality. Hidden thoughts, unanswered questions. All readers "see" their lives in them and this is what makes them unique. more…
