Open Country

Rivers snake through pastoral fields, a life force for the land
Their sides are lined with shrubs and trees, roots sunk deep within the sand
Random mounds of termite huts, some as big as boulders
A father carries children three, hoisted up upon his shoulders
Australia's open country is a love upon its own
Hundreds of different nationalities now call
Australia home
Deep murky creeks and river banks along where croc's do sleep
Wide green grassy open Plains with red hills ssloped and steep
Never ending blue skies shine over burnt charred grass
Remants of the last bush fire, that tore destruction through here last
