Moments

Moments
Our lives are filled with so many moments
Some are built
With heart feels and happiness
Some are so painful, so sad
We want them to be erased
Some make us so mad
That we begin to lose faith
Moments in love
Moments in hate
In these moments we become
The decisions we make
To enjoy, or forget some
It’s up to us to let them keep us awake
Or wake us up to live
To be our true selves
It’s in these moments we believe
Live every moment to the most because
You only get one life, one body
To trust, love, live and dream
I wish we could all see
The beauty
These moments determine who we
Are meant to be

About this poem

I have been on a very long and difficult health journey. I just had lymph node removal surgery because I have been seeing multiple oncologists. I’ve been in a very dark place. Writing helps so much
