Karma

Scarlett Lamm 1992 (California)

October 23

If karma does not kiss your lips,
hope my memory haunts your trips,
for every lie slipped through your tongue,
hope my side of the battle is won.

lies cut through my soul like butter,
disrespect easily rolled without a stutter,
six foot man lifting twice my weight,
distortion of reality became his trait.

If karma does not punch you in the face,
living a happy life without a trace,
hope the ghost of my broken soul haunts your life,
the way your gaslighting cut me like a knife.

About this poem
