Him

For what was all ugly, is suddenly beautiful
Roses are darker and it seems youthful
I tell them it's all a lie but deep down it's true;
I really, really like you

They notice my smiles, they notice my laughs
They notice my daydreams that are too long
I want to deny it, I really do
I want to deny that all my reveries are not about you

And suddenly love songs make sense
They tell a story even I can't comprehend
I pass you, and storms of butterflies are formed in my stomach
My heart races like sport cars and my cheeks turn red

It's all true
I like him, I really do
But please don't tell him
Until he likes me too

About this poem

This is a poem I have randomly wrote around February for my Creative Arts Writing project. My teacher told the class that we can write or say a verse from a song infront of the class. I have chosen to write about someone I really liked but I never knew I was capable of writing something like it.
