Heartbeat

William Treth 1989 (Seaford, DE) – 2021 (New York, New York)

It's funny what you can hear when up to someone close.
It's nice when you feel you can snuggle next to someone you like.
It's nice to hear someone you like heartbeat.
To know they are breathing.
Its funny how these signs of life can make someone feel a certain way when they happen all the time.
Yet when they go away so does everything.
I never wanted to hear her heart stop beating.
But you can't be close with someone who wants to be far.
