Dance of Colors Under the Noon

Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)

Those vivid hues of carnival rides,
Glistening bright under the sun,
I painted them on my canvas board,
Every shade, each and every one.

Though the world may not notice,
I drew them from my soul's hue,
And when the bustling noon arrives,
The colors dance, old and new.

Two parrots sing their joyous song,
In this carnival of life and space,
I know that in this very moment,
Joy radiates, a contagious grace.

I feel a rhythm, a beat inside,
Filled with zest, not a downfall,
Embracing life with every stride,
My vibrant spirit, shining tall.
