Sad

As I sit here looking out of the window,  tears flowing down my face.  I wish I were in a happier place. My mother gone, my grandmother gone. No one to talk to I feel so alone. Lord help me take this sadness away. I pray tomorrow will be a bright and happier day. Tears are steady flowing and my thoughts are are fading slowly. This sadness is overwhelming, Lord I need you to hold me. Please take me in your arms and hold me tight. Dear Lord let me know everything is going to be alright. Before I go to bed tonight, I will pray the Lord  will bring joy and happiness into my life and take away all my misery and strife. Sad and alone I am, as I sit here staring out the window and tears flowing down my face.

About this poem

My grandmother passed away in October of 2002 and my mother unexpectedly passed away at the age of 48 years old in May of 2003. I was in a dark place and felt very sad for a long time. I was inspired to write this poem.
