Old Red roses

Old red roses dried and dead
Wilted petals fall instead.
Once a love to call my own,
Empty vase with bitterness stands alone.
Dried up roses longing for that call,
Wither away, to break apart and fall.
Picked with love and given to Amir,
Left in darkness, with no sunlight and no fire.
A fire that once burned with admiration and compassion,
Roses that died as if love has gone out of fashion.
Long steam red roses waiting for a love that shall never show,
Wilted dried roses that will never bloom nor grow.

About this poem

A recreation of a poem I wrote a very long time ago. A poem that always repeats in my head over and over. Had to recreate it due to not remembering the poem completely. This poem was my thoughts on love and heart break at a very young age and now my thoughts of love now that I am older.

I have always been a dreamer, and a writer, I have always had poems inside my brain, I have always had the love and passion in reading and writing. It was always my escape, my freedom to express how I view love , sadness, happiness. more…
