Poisonous Love”

Brandon Owens 1985 (Big Stone Gap, Virginia)

High on the mountain top, back through the trees, imprisoned in hell from the woman that broke me down to my knees, you might of won the battle but I won the war, I didn’t break my vows the we both swore. I picked myself up with the help from a great friend, something I hope you will have with all your men, I have morals and standards something I think you lost, but I will close our chapter forever because it wasn’t worth the the pain it cost.Hope you find happiness and for once actually fall in love, then he breaks your heart and you see how it was. Deuces!

About this poem

Wrote it from what I have been experiencing from a toxic relationship that almost destroyed me and dealing with divorce.
