I AM BOTH A SAINT AND SINNER BECAUSE MOMMY TOLD ME SO

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Every time that I raised my sword for battle, we thought we had each other; we were needed to be, and one would sure bleed while going down the roads from saint to sinner and sinner to saint, the winner and loser later sharing a bottle of wine toasting for the battle of the next time saying you will always be the dearest friend of my mind.

These battles are to the death but never to last to the last breath, for our lungs are full of continuous air, and we are brothers who care. We are lovers having an affair. We are junkies with strange addictions. We are the generals waiting to go to the next over sea whore. We are the 2 dollar whore waiting to spread her legs to some guy named John.

Every time this happens, they open the cage, hoping it can rattle like a snake tail. These bastards are looking for my soul to steal every damn time, and I'm doing time in this jail cell of mine with God and Lucifer while Jesus is out getting us some street tacos on the corner side, and I'm busy being both saint and sinner because mommy told me do
