In the ages of long ago

In the ages of long ago.

Surrounded by corn fields in Michigan for a summer at age 12 I had the maturity of a 17yr old. There was alot of spiritual energy in that land at my Aunts house. Like the Civil War spirit's not far from their resting place just at the corner cemetery that I'd ride a motorcycle through with my temp friend German shepherd silver and black named fritz. We had alot of fun chasing snakes. Fritz when I pointed one out to him would chase it and pick it up and shake his head so hard the snake would rip apart. A boy and his dog a classic scene played countless of times in our history. In the cemetery there were head stones dated back to the 1700'ds. Even at my age of 12 I knew the importance and value of those lives during those growing years of our soon to be independence. Just to be alive during those years of course very difficult however very relevant towards the U.S.A.'s future development.  The political scene was just getting started for our country and there were so many behind the scene plans working towards the very instrumental year of 1776 just around the corner. All the citizens of our soon to be free country were all a buzz about silent factions being built and hidden throughout the land in hopes of executing plans to pop-up resistance against the British to create unstablness in their strong hold. Oh the madness and strength from these early settlers of which many would not see our freedom in full swing but none the less they gave as much as they could for the cause because they shared the dream of our forefathers. God and Country. So during your lifetime if you come across a grave site that rests a soul from the time of our country's conception give them a thank you and a prayer. As well our Vets weather on active duty or not give thanks as well. God is Good always.
