WORLD OF CHAOS

Wake up people, to reality I would rather say
The time as come when falsehood is told
and is rather believed.
I would cry not and watch people go astray
I would speak for my voice should be heard
and would be heard.

Chaos, it is
follows mankind's everytime
in heart it follows mind it does
where else does it not?
chaos that leads to madness, untold falsehood
and untimely death.

Death of soul and body
lies would be made to make the false
seem rather pleasing.
I would be breathe from my nose people
would say no! from your ear drink from.

For thousand of years people lived in solitary
way, found peace within themselves where is
peace then? when there are no rules.

This chaotic world seem to famish me,
in my lone thought I'm left to think,
is punishment not meant for those
who rather change this world to
satisfy their desires?.

About this poem

The poem evolve around mankind greed and inability to be appreciative thus turning them to hooligans who destroy people heart and souls and finally turning this world into chaos. Madness which they ought to run away from now they are running to it because that's the only way to be accepted in this chaotic world. Should the sinners be punished? I am left to ponder on this thought because we all are the sinners.

I am fatimah and 18 year old high school leaver. I reside in Lagos, Nigeria. I love many things but I prefer reading and writing poems because those two take one to the world beyond. It builds, breaks, heal and the heart. Words that are hidden in words that is what poems are and I would want to capture the world to my poems. more…
