 I-met perfection, dedication, and an ambition to conquer something deeper
I stood still and gazed into the beauty of the glow that showered his undercover
The moon so huge, so round, astounded by his presence
The promises under the moon were false to deny the words that spilled from his mouth.

I knew that my life would forever be protected and directed to pure bliss
My heart was swollen and genuinely committed to a tarnish
The moon held his secrets so tightly even the man on the moon cried for me
He was as bright as the moon that loving evening.

Though, I discovered that his bright was not as bright as mine

The mind games, the stories, the put downs, the name calling, the hold on his money, and the nightmare I couldn’t wake from.
The moon was supposed to be never false
Our love was only mine alone
My error was that the love for you grew
My love did become only the external death of our affair

We know nothing of anything in this life
