Obselete

Obsolete

I am obsolete.
That, what I once was, is no more.
I am the shell of the former lover, the instigator.
Is it so easy to forget the time, the moments we shared in quiet?

What did you see when I would stare into your eyes?
When I felt like I was staring into eyes deep and the color of Ahab's Sea.
Foam green and reflecting the gray sky over and above, with flecks of yellow
from the Sun hiding behind clouds of a once raging, but then, steadily calming storm.

All the noise, the deafening sounds, the rising wave, broke.
And then everyone disappeared into the world.
The low rumble of everything, pressed,
just right up against, but outside the door.

Low and far away, but your voice,
clear and in my head.
Your lips moving in sync,
just so, so it would seem real.

It all resides in some other time.
The cheeks so soft and delicate held against mine.
They are only dreams now….
I never sleep anymore, only drown.

If it were only true,
but a Woman never completely leaves you.
The silhouette of the mystery she carries
whispers behind you and haunts just out of sight.

Always to feel her fingers, her touch.
Always to taste her kiss, her lips.
Never to smell her hair, again.
Memory is cold and out of reach.

All Hell is, is Time.
No fire is there
only existence…
and Time.

Isolated and obsolete
dispossessed of dharma.
exiled out of desiderata
A book with pages missing, torn out.
