Memories Forgotten

Tonja Yaklin 1970 (Michigan)

I wish I could remember,when I was very young.
The joy of December, I wonder if we sung.
I wish a memory would appear, like it was yesterday.
Show me something happier, not sad and always Gray.
I wish I was in control, I'd stop him, yes I would.
Then all the memories forgotten, I'd have from my childhood.

About this poem

A wish I have always had. To remember something that was good from my childhood. It's not a thought that makes me sad or depressed, it's just my curiosity written down!
