Adieu to my fallen star

We were soldiers of life
And together we faced the tides of time
When it was rough and tough
When it was sweet and sour
We braved the storm
Together we shared happy memories of tomorrow

But tomorrow never came with the memories of our wishes
For hell's gate let loose its torment
And captured my blood within its embrace
First it was the one with whom I shared the womb
And then the treasured owner of the womb

So life and fate played a twist on my desired narrative
And I was left to live the memories of my loss from sunrise to sunset for a lifetime

Ma's bountiful harvest lay unreaped till its past harvest time
Into that garden of her labours and toils
Strangers stray to eat of her unreaped harvest

Adieu my morning stars for with you I made life's earliest memories
Memories of a time when nothing but toils and growth was the only certain.
Now I am forced to live my days wishing you are here to share of the better times we toiled to build together
If they ask why my heart is full of thorns and flowers
It's because of the memories of my fallen stars whose dwelling place will forever be my heart.
