She awakes to uncertainty

In the winter of the night there is a mystic that has surrounded the land. There is no safe haven as we look and feel for the truth. The words of a man often don't match his actions. Why has he lost his grip on reality.  Does he need a map to find his way back. As the night grows colder the darkness in the house makes her tremble for it appears the shadows make the cabinet doors look like they are dancing. Is that the cat scratching on the door? If so why is he on the couch. Two hours to sunrise she wonders how she'll make it.
