Time out
Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)
Our minds harvest
the fruits of our labors
in ways
true to life's design
by means of
recognition signals
brought forth
as we find our purpose
in means
focused and aligned
In the silver
mine
where
Our essence
rises
Is inclined
to travel
within our minds
As
we are inspired
Dives in pursuit
of our desires
Stirs,
as we are suspended
above the fire
turns
Explorations of what links
our bodies to our souls
As we ponder
our emotion pouring
deep in thought
in a mold of unseen promise
Still awakening
In A sacred place
Where
the answer key
Hovers
secretly in a space
placed
between us
Provides
what spirit
which has shaped
Our rise to humanity.
Even more elusive
Than wisps of clouds
and glowing sun painted skies
Sail above that perspective
our fixed viewpoint
might ever provide
Seeing beyond
our vantage point
fixed
Within our minds
As the converging dimensions
of our souls write
What stories of our fates
might somehow persist
Find what solace we may
As it’s cast adrift
Glides across dimensions
impelled by a life design
Met by a greater impetus
Then i/ We/Us
May comprehend
As if to unwind
Before us A script From which flows
Streams of consciousness
Which reside somewhere
between Our thirsting souls
In Love And War
And ever reaching minds...
As we do a merry
thought-step-dance
Splashing joyously
in mirror pools,
Steadied by currents
which carry our mood
A little further beyond
each fleeting moment
Of our awakening
desire
As ripples
of emotion pour
From
the eager
Willing
portion of our will
To buoy us above
a harsh cold
Core of reality
We cannot ignore
Where we skip
a stone at will
Along
a course of destiny
Where we all
are both bound and freed
tethered to the
Will of the divine
Astral
being within
In the being
we infer
Within a seam
of unearthly fire
Reaching across
untold dimensions
Of a universe
We do not rightly know
feeding the spark of life
Harnessing the tidal flow
Of eternity
as it pulses with energy
Pulling the stars
together and apart
Bending our will
towards each other
In love and life
what
comes to mind
Across
that Aspect
of the universe
We call
Time
