Shall we ever know the answer

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

Sweet Jesus
Dancing upon the rooftops

Watching fortunes
come and go

Like rain
which Seems to never stop

When the angels come
Will they come comfort me

As i plant these seeds
for a brighter day

i know may never
come for me

Knowing
Somehow They will be there

for One
Who might care enough to share

But will they dare
to judge My heart

If so Well then
will i be So blessed

To live on love

To learn to rise above
And sign the deed of trust

And will those who will

Surely come behind him
In his name

Do right by Us
all

Will they watch over him
as he sleeps?

Or rob him
of his wares?

And to what end

Will the world
succumb to those?

Who hate who
they have come to be

Become the kingdom
of the Evil Led

Willing to trade
their Souls

For the shoes
on his feet

And the shirt off
His back
